Message	any other factor. Although running a tank low is DEFINITELY risky, if you fillup at the end of the journey but before you park you limit the risk. Gas weighs ~6lbs/gal. *IF* your light comes on with 5gal left that's 30lbs. If you fillup with 10gal left it's 60lbs. The farther you drive a heavier vehicle the more fuel you use. When I run my tank down to 1/4 and below I go up ~1-3mi/gal in TOTAL mileage. (Yes, I track *every* fillup and the average really can vary that much)
